2024 Summer Member Meeting, Funders for Reproductive Equity

In June 2025, Funders for Reproductive Equity hosted its Summer Member Meeting in Chicago, Illinois, bringing together 100 guests for 2.5 days at the Ritz Carlton. Structured as a conference, each day featured 2-3 plenary sessions and two blocks of concurrent breakouts, with two breakout sessions offered per block. Our team curated a “Play and Slay” room to offer guests a respite space that included coloring books, sensory toys, and a chance for calm from the hustle and bustle of the larger event space. To support guests with young children, we identified a local, values-aligned child care firm, vetted their services, and worked closely with them to provide onsite child care. We also produced an offsite reception at The Rooftop at Torali and collaborated with local BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ DJs to perform throughout the evening.

Access highlights:

• Pared down room capacities in order to widen aisles, ensuring comfortable wheelchair access, spacious navigation for guests with large bodies, and overall ease of movement for attendees and staff.

• Facilitated onsite childcare with a vetted local provider, supporting access for participants with young children.
